“Wash Cycle” is the 10 page original comic I did as a part of 789 Studio’s Rain Anthology; A compilation of many awesome young artists’ stories relating to rain. Get all the info about each artist and their stories here: [link]
Close to this time last year I had to start coming up with my contribution. Hurricane Irene hit us big in the Northeast late last summer, and my town got hit with a lot of flooding. Though pretty depressing and destructive, it was one of the elements I wanted to incorporate into my story.
A female protagonist was another goal in mind. It’s something I have been criticized on never doing before, not like I was willing, but it was about time. I also wanted the comic to be a completely unspoken comic. I depend a lot on dialogue, so I took a step out of my comfort zone.
To sum it up quickly, “Wash Cycle” is about change and friendship. Enjoy!
